Slowtide

Slowtide was founded in 2015 by three friends as a product of their beach lifestyle. Inspired by all bodies of water and a love of art, Slowtide conveys lifestyle through a new medium, catering to a love of the beach, nature, travel, and comfort. Blending design and functionality, Slowtide collaborates with brands, artists and photographers to bring unique designs while maintaining premium, sustainable quality. Guaranteed to last, they traveled around the world in search of the best factories with fair working conditions and happy employees. From sustainable materials, to details like size, weight, weaving techniques, hanging loops and reusable packaging, Slowtide have thought of it all. Slowtide is the name in beach towels and changing robes for your days in the sun.

Slowtide's non-stop commitment to sustainability drives them to follow the best practices in the production of their products.  True to their sustainable beliefs, all of Slowtide's cotton is certifiably sourced through the Cotton LEADS program™.

The Cotton LEADS program™ is a leader in sustainable cotton production and is founded on core principles that are consistent with sustainability, the use of best practices and traceability from farm to manufacturer. The program ensures that Slowtide's raw material is responsibly produced and identified. The Cotton LEADS™ program strives to make sure cotton is produced responsibly now and into the future.

Slowtide don't just ensure their new materials are all sustainably sourced, they also insist on using as much recycled material as possible.  That's why all Slowtide polyester products (quick-dry towels, fleece and camp blankets) are made from 100% recycled post-consumer waste!

Slowtide's polyester is primarily sourced and produced from plastic bottles which are transformed into premium soft fibre. To ensure this happens their polyester is certified through the Global Recycle Standard which applies to the full supply chain and ensures product traceability, environmental principles, social requirements and labeling.

After sourcing their sustainable and recycled materials, Slowtide then make sure their products are produced using the highest ethical standards.

Slowtide are a proud global company who manufacture around the world with suppliers who share their values of sustainability, accountability and transparency. They are committed to manufacturing with a smaller environmental impact in places that treat workers properly.

Slowtide insist that all their suppliers participate in independent third-party social assessments to ensure their workforce get fair wages, reasonable hours and safe, healthy working conditions. To ensure this happens they work with organisations like Sedex, Scan and Amfori.
